Hydrologic studies at Tapiracuai and Cuarepoti Rivers , Eastern Paraguay

Abstract

results of bathymetric and gauging studies carried out in two major streams of the Department of SanPedro: Tapiracuai and Cuarepoti Rivers are presented. They are based on daily hydrometric records as well as on 18 field campaigns of bathymetry and direct gauging leading to establish their hydrometric regimes. The hydrometric regime exposed by the Tapiracui has a regular behavior while the Cuarepoti is peculiar because the hydrometric levels are affected by the barrier effect of the Paraguay River flood.considered. In addition, in both water bodies solid transport studies were also performed. Solid transport vs water flood shows positive correlation in both streams.
