Abstract

The Mbaracayu Forest Natural Reserve has several natural plant communities, one of them is a type of forest formation popularly known as "ka'a ti", in which monitorings of wild populations of species of genus Ilex were performed. These populatons were georeferenced and phenologically monitored. Then they were harvested for further cultivation, from which seedlings of the species Ilex paraguariensis and Ilex dumosa were obtained.
